Etched Portraits & Images
Chemically etched portraits and images add a personal touch to your design. These pieces put you in mind of a newspaper photo and are based directly on the image file you provide.
High resolution files are required for a good final product, keeping in mind that any blurriness, fuzziness or pixilation in the image will directly translate to the final etching. Etched portraits/images are a minimum $536 in addition to the plaque itself (up to 10” height).
Etchings are also a good way to accommodate a smaller text height and finer detail compared to a standard sand casting. Deep etching filled with black paint provides a nice contrast against a satin finished background. Deep etchings are available in multiple thicknesses in bronze, stainless steel, copper and zinc.
